Tooth abscess occurs in the gum. The pus escapes around the gum. The cause may be leftover food, or a lump of tartar lodged between the tooth and gum, which rots and causes the infection. So this is usually a hygienic problem, and to treat it, sometimes you just need to clean the gum. We present to you some suitable remedies for this.
1- Rinsing with water and salt:
This remedy is so well known that even your dentist will recommend it. Salt has antiseptic and antibacterial properties that can help reduce inflammation, prevent bacterial growth in the mouth, and prevent other infections.
To apply this remedy, you only need ½ teaspoon of salt and a glass of hot water. Pour the salt into lukewarm water and mix until dissolved. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with this mixture, then spit out. Repeat this 3-4 times a day to clear up infections and reduce discomfort and pain.
2- Garlic:
Garlic contains an active compound called allicin, which is a natural antibiotic that helps prevent bacterial infections. It also has anti-inflammatory properties that relieve the pain of swelling, as is the case with tooth abscess.
For the preparation of this remedy, you need 3 to 4 cloves of garlic. Start by peeling and washing the garlic cloves properly, then mash them and extract the juice. Apply the juice to your tooth. Repeat this process at least 2 times a day. Otherwise, you can just chew 2 to 3 cloves of garlic a day.
3- Turmeric:
Turmeric is often used to reduce the inflammation caused by tooth abscess. It is rich in antibiotic, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties and also helps in the promotion of oral health. To use this remedy, you need hot water, in addition to a teaspoon of turmeric powder.
Mix the teaspoon of turmeric powder with a little hot water to make a paste, then apply this paste directly on the affected tooth. Leave on for about 15 minutes, then rinse off with lukewarm water. In addition, you can also mix 14 teaspoons of turmeric with 1 teaspoon of olive oil. Apply the paste on the affected area. Leave on for 15 minutes, then rinse.
4- Apple cider vinegar:
Another very effective home remedy for treating tooth abscess is apple cider vinegar. It contains two beneficial acids called acetic acid and malic acid which are excellent antibacterial, antimicrobial and antifungal agents.
Apple cider vinegar also has disinfectant and anti-inflammatory properties that help reduce pain and inflammation. For this, we recommend that you use organic raw apple cider vinegar. A tablespoon of organic apple cider vinegar can do the trick.
Simply pour the apple cider vinegar into your mouth and gargle with it. Leave it in your mouth for 5 minutes so that it can work well. Then spit out and rinse your mouth with lukewarm water. Repeat this 2-4 times a day for a month.
