The Athlone Institute of Technology is an award-winning higher education institution in Ireland. A team of researchers from this institute has carried out a study on several types of oil to determine what could be the benefits of this oil for the health of the mouth.
According to the results of this study, coconut oil is the most suitable for dental care in particular and mouth care in general. It has been discovered that when coconut oil is treated with digestive enzymes, it works effectively to stop bacterial growth in the mouth.
“The incorporation of enzyme-modified coconut oil into dental hygiene products would be an attractive alternative to chemical additives, especially because it works at relatively low concentrations. Additionally, with increasing antibiotic resistance, it is important that we focus on new ways to fight microbial infection, “said Dr. Damien Brady, principal investigator at the Athlone Institute of Technology .
6 teaspoons of coconut oil
6 tbsp baking soda
25 drops of essential oil (all types)
1 teaspoon of stevia
Start by taking a bowl and add all the ingredients inside. Then make the mixture, you can use a Smart-stick to whip the ingredients well.
