Like many other natural treatment products, baking soda can be used in several different ways to treat the skin. We have included a list of our favorite uses below.
Face wash:
Your face wash doesn’t have to be an elaborate concoction. Simply mix 2 teaspoons of baking soda and 1 teaspoon of hot water to form a paste. Rinse your face with water and rub the mixture in circular motions on your face to gently cleanse the skin.
exfoliating:
The fine grainy texture of baking soda makes it a perfect exfoliant. Use the baking soda alone or add a teaspoon to your favorite cleansing cream and gently rub your face for smooth, flawless skin.
Detox mask:
Baking soda also helps flush toxins from the skin. Create a baking soda paste using 2 teaspoons of baking soda and 1 teaspoon of warm water. Smooth the mixture over your face and allow to dry completely.
Rinse and dry. You can even use this combination as a detoxification bath by mounting the baking soda to 120 or 200 g and adding 400 g of Epsom salt.
Brightening mask:
Mix enough lemon juice with 2 teaspoons of baking soda and a spray of hot water to create a thin paste. Smooth the mixture over your face and let it dry completely.
Rinse and pat dry to reveal brighter skin with fewer dark spots.
Black dots :
Again mix the water and baking soda to make a paste. Gently massage the mixture onto your skin, focusing on your problem area. Let the dough soak for at least a minute and rinse to remove those pesky blackheads and any dirt on or in the skin.
Whether your skin is acne-prone or relatively free, you will see a difference when you start using baking soda.
