Disney announces four Marvel movies for 2023

Disney has updated its release schedule, on Friday night announcing more untitled Marvel Cinematic Universe movies for the next few years. (Currently spanning 23 films, you can watch the vast majority of these Marvel movies on Disney Plus right now.)

For the MCU in 2020, we’ll be getting Black Widow on May 1 and The Eternals on Nov. 6. In 2021, Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings will be released on Feb. 12, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness on May 7, Spider-Man 3 on July 16 and Thor: Love and Thunder on Nov. 5.

Four Marvel movies are then slated for 2022 — Black Panther 2 on May 6, and three untitled movies on Feb. 18, July 29 and Oct. 7. In 2023, there’ll be another four Marvel movies set to release on Feb. 17, May 5, July 28 and Nov. 3.

The untitled Marvel movies for 2022 and 2023 could include Ant-Man 3, Blade, Captain Marvel 2 and Guardians of the Galaxy 3. There’s also speculation of A-Force — an all-female Avengers-style team from the comic books — Champions, which could feature a younger Avengers team including Ms Marvel and Miles Morales from Into the Spider-Verse and Deadpool 3.

For the new Disney Plus streaming service, which launched this week, original MCU content will also include:

The Falcon and Winter Soldier in fall 2020
WandaVision in spring 2021
Loki in spring 2021
Marvel’s What If…? in summer 2021
Hawkeye in fall 2021
The rest of Disney’s launch schedule shows Pixar’s Onward on March 6, the live-action Mulan on March 27, New Mutants on April 3, Artemis Fowl on May 29, Pixar’s Soul on June 19, Jungle Cruise on July 24 and Raya and the Last Dragon on Nov. 25 in 2020.

Four untitled Disney live-action movies are slated for March 12, July 30, Aug. 10 and Nov. 19 — one of which could be The Little Mermaid — in 2021. Cruella is also set for May 28, an untitled Pixar movie for June 18, the next Indiana Jones for July 9, an untitled Disney animation for Nov. 24 and Avatar 2 for Dec. 17.

In 2022, we’ll get two untitled Pixar animations on March 11 and June 17; five Disney live actions on March 25, May 27, July 8, Aug. 12 and Nov. 4; one Disney animation on Nov. 23; and an untitled Star Wars movie on Dec. 16.

Disney is planning on releasing another six live-action movies in 2023 on March 10, May 26, July 14, Aug. 11, Oct. 6 and Dec. 15; one Disney animation on Nov. 22; one untitled Pixar animation on June 16; and Avatar 3 on Nov. 22.

Disney has also delayed next year’s The King’s Man — the Kingsmen prequel — from Feb. 14 to Sep. 18.
