During detox diets, a lot of toxins are flushed out of our cells, so that the liver is exposed to greater pressure and must be stimulated to cope with the higher production of bile. Healthy bile production is essential for eliminating toxins, so we should help the liver with key nutrients, such as antioxidants, such as the betalains in beets, and fiber from a wide variety of sources. There are two types of fiber, soluble and insoluble fiber.
The detoxification soup that we present to you in this article, is not only filled with potassium to create an alkaline environment and to help eliminate toxins from your cells, but also with fibers, soluble to stimulate bile secretion and insoluble to promote intestinal movement and the elimination of toxins.
