If you had to count the number of times Grandma mentioned good baking soda on this site, it would be thousands of times. The reason is that it is pure and simply amazing! Today’s article focuses on the beauty uses of this wonderful powder, hence the idea that it will appeal to women, but we are sure men can find some advice for them too (against yellow or oily nails and smooth skin for example) 😉!
1) Use baking soda for oily hair between washes
Sprinkle a little on the brush and leave it on your hair. Alternatively, you can spray it directly on your hair, massage it into the scalp, leave it on and clean it (in short, use it as a dry shampoo).
2) Avoid odors in shoes!
Sprinkle baking soda in your shoes, leave it on for several hours, and remove it before wearing the respective shoes.
3) make your clothes smell good
Put baking soda in a cake tray or coffee filter. Add some spices that smell good (cinnamon …) or a few drops of essential oil and close everything with a rubber band. You can put this bag in drawers, gym bag or travel bag! It will make your clothes very nice.
4) Against self-tanning spots on the skin
Mix equal parts baking soda and lemon juice and rub this mixture on the areas to be treated against the respective spots.
5) Really white teeth
Make a paste with two spoons of baking soda and one spoon of hydrogen peroxide. Brush your teeth with this product. Note that for the sake of tooth enamel, this technique must remain very punctual (for an evening, an event …)!
6) For a gentle and effective exfoliation of the face
Mix the baking soda with your regular detergent and rub it with the resulting paste.
7) Against burns or redness from hair straighteners
Make a paste from baking soda and water to apply directly to the area to be smoothed. Leave it for a few minutes.
8) To remove a lot of stains from clothes
As in the previous tip, mix water and baking soda. Apply the paste to the stain and scrub it with a toothbrush that you no longer use. Classic but massive tip!
9) Dilute the baking soda in water and use this mouthwash against bad breath
10) When your hands are oily or to soften them
Do you have oily hands after applying an oil bath to your hair? Rub them with baking soda and rinse! You can also rub your hands with it to make it softer, mixing it with hand soap.
11) to find whiter nails
Soak them for a few minutes in a bath of hydrogen peroxide and baking soda.
12) To clean makeup brushes
Mix two parts water, one part baking soda and add two pumps of facial cleanser (shampoo is fine too).
13) Soak the orthodontic appliance in water and add baking soda to cool it
14) Soften your feet by soaking them for a few minutes in a baking soda bath
